visited my old campus. felt very nostalgic, roaming the halls of DDH and floors of the Walter Stern Library. it was quite an adventure wandering for good backgrounds. 

i've had these a-line skorts (skirt&short combination) from zara since last season. they were so incredibly popular i couldn't find the inspiration to wear them. some pieces are super cute, yet trendy that i don't have the desire to style them. by default i store them when they aren't so trendy to wear at an appropriate time. pieces are trendy for a reason. but who says you have to wear them when they are...

these girls have a very unique style. to describe their style would be to say a cowboy and a punk clashed to create such a casually cool ensemble. 

we ventured to the land of the four seasons. being that jesse knows tons of cool settings, she lead us on our adventure. the first few photos were taken in an empty canal. from there we traveled to mountain park with lots of trails, great for hikes. although i didn't dress appropriately, i just removed my shoes to hike barefoot. our last stop was downtown. tehachapi's downtown is so quaint, and i really had a great time with these girls and this shoot.

another tally for a hot day. many hours were spent at the immigration office waiting to renew and change my visa status: spousal visa! our marriage was made official on july 8th. 

this wrap dress was purchased yesterday. instead of wearing it as it is intended, i was inspired to wear it open and draped. when pulling together a draped look, make sure to included some fitting pieces; otherwise, should you wear a loose tee with boyfriend jeans, make sure to tie in some sexy pumps or strappy heels to give a good balance.

today was hands full of white bags filled with darling and hip acquisitions. i bought some exciting pieces that i will feature soon. i'm leaving for america saturday, and look forward toward going on adventures to feature my new pieces. 

it was extremely warm today, so i picked a light and breezy outfit. i love these lacy shorts that i bought a while back. violet grey works well for any season. my shoes have black crystals (though I should have posted a picture of them).  this piece was inspired by an outfit worn by alexa chung. she's one of my inspiring fashionistas. she often pieces together something casual and dressy for a lovely feminine, minimal look. check her out! be inspired.

warm weather is slowly rolling in and to stay cool wear shorts and sandals. today i pieced together these semi-dress shorts with my heeled sandals. i purchased these sandals last month, and absolutely love their comfort and cuteness. transparent socks are all the rage and add value to any outfit. 

the weather wasn't too bad, but it was extremely windy with the typhoon heading our way.

these photos were taken on our last day in okinawa. we went out for breakfast, hit up DFS and left for the airport. i read an article posted on "whowhatwear"about appropriate airport shoes. these wedges are perfect for traveling. 

it was incredibly hot on our last day, so i threw on these fun semi-animal print shorts, a pleaded top underneath a ultra-thin tee. i made the flower head-dress.

we took a family trip to okinawa. we traveled east to hamahiga island where we stayed at 413 hotel&cafe. it was designed by miki's dad. it's a small hotel sitting right on the beach. with only 6 rooms, it was a lovely stay with warm-hearted staff. 

it was so hot that wearing a bathing suit is ideal, but didn't feel entirely comfortable walking around in only a swimsuit, so i packed along this piece i purchased from asos. a perfect piece for tropical weather.

i love okinawa!
